Allen's Weblog

It is not news that I use this Blog as a repository of information from which to write my newspaper columns.

I have been continuously published in the communities of Ranch Bernardo, Poway, and other local environs for more than 30 years. This is my latest submitted column, and while it contains information previously noted in the Blog, it pulls it together in a more succinct and logical fashion than my blog entries:

One of the problems with failing to learn from history is that much of history is hidden until its interest is so old that its very existence is unfamiliar even to historians.
